I just found some information that could be your Rebecca Durden. Joseph Durden was born in 1683 in Nansemond or Isle of Wight Co., Virginia and married an Alse or Elsa (last name is possibly West) in Bertie Co., North Carolina. Joseph died March 11, 1733. He and Elsa had children named: West (or Weston) Joseph, America, Rebecca and Henry (Henerey). West was born in Bertie Co...Henry was born around 1732 in Bertie Co., so I would think that would put Rebecca born somewhere in the early 1730's. This could possibly be her. If so, her grandparents were Jacob Durden(Darden), b. 1641 in Isle of Wight, VA and Ann Bennett Hill, b. 1655, Isle of Wight Co., VA and married in 1675. Her grandgrandparents would be Stephen Durden(Darden) b. 1611 in Edenfield, Lancaster, England - d. 1681 in Nansemond, Isle of Wight Co., VA and his wife Mary (no information on her other than they married in 1640 in England).

The sources for this are many. The info can be found on RootsWeb.com under Darrell & Ruth's Family or contact darrelldunlop@yahoo.com.
