John Edward Durden, son of William Y. Durden and Bethania Eubank?, was born in 1831 GA and died 15 Oct 1864 at Camp Douglas, Chicago, IL while a prisoner of war. He had been captured at Cumberland Gap 1 Sep 1864.

He married Mary Ware 10 Dec 1854 Stewart County Georgia.
He enlisted in Co A. 55 Reg’t GA Infantry on 30 Apr 1862 at Randolph County Georgia.
Mrs. John Durden is on the Salt List for 1862 and 1863 in Randolph Co GA.

By 1860 most of Mary's family are in Mississippi and John's are in Alabama.

I am looking for John Durden's 1860 census record and for any information about Mary's death and whether they had children.
