I'm trying to find out more information about John S. Durfee. His mother was born in Vermont, his father in Mass. He was born in New York State about 1821. In 1850, he lived in Madison Ohio; in 1860 he lived in in Genoa, Illinois. He lived in at least three other locations in Illinois; Cherry Valley, Coon Creek,and Elgin, before moving to Huntington, West Virginia with his wife. They had five children; Lydia, Mary E. Harry H, Rueben and Carrie.
Can anyone provide more information about either his parents or his wife?
