The Summer/Autumn 2010 issue of Antiques and Fine Art magazine on p. 39 in an advertisement pictures portraits of James Durfee, Jr., and Horatio Nelson Durfee, brothers, of New Bedford, Massachusetts. The portraits were painted ca. 1845 when the brothers were young boys.
I am scanning these portraits in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the Durfee family ought to have them--they are too good to be missed by the family. They may not have a lot of genealogical value, but they certainly do have a great deal of family and artistic value.

If they were portraits of Pease family children, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me.
