I just started researching Durfees in Michigan for my sister-in-law. She has a connection with Hicks and Wood through siblings, and they are in Elsie, Mi, and I think Hastings, Mi. Coincidentally, I have been looking at the same Hicks and Wood families to try to find my Hope/Hepsey Hicks who had a Wood connection.
The Durfees and the Grinnells (into whom Hope married) both moved from Tiverton, RI, to Farmington, Ontario Co., NY, about the same time. My Grinnell ancestor would have come of age there...
Can anyone help on this part of the line?
