St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, Feb. 15, 1901, Local Notes. West Chicago Journal: Henry Durfee left Wayne township twenty-nine years ago to seek his fortune out west. Nothing was heard from him from the time of his departure and he was given up for dead long years ago. Last week he surprised his relatives and friends by quietly opening the door and walking in. The last two years he has spent in Alaska, and he exhibits some very fine specimens of gold from the frozen north. (Posted as a courtesy, not related.)
