I am looking for the family of my great grandmother, Catherine Durgin. She was the mother of Lulu Augusta Harrison Alling who is buried in Hamden, Conn.( died Jan. 30, 1922) Lulu's husband was Edson Lyman Alling, and I believe that her father might be George William Durgin(Durgen) of the 1st Conn. Light Battery Vols. of the Civil War. Her mother might be Clarinda Hill, daughter of Thomas and Roxanna (Benton) Hill of Guilford, Conn. Also, does anyone know if the family came from Ireland, and if so,where in Ireland? I tried the Durgin website and the e-mail was returned; any info on that, too, would be appreciated.
Anne
