Byron,
I stand corrected on George's wife's name. Why I wrote "Margaret" instead of "Winifred" is beyond me. I have a transcripted copy of the referenced will. I should've proofread more closely.
As a sidenote, I came across something today that surprised me. In the transcripted file from the website, Southern Campaign Revolutionary War Pension Statements & Rosters,
(http://southerncampaign.org/pen/index.htm),
James Lindsey Durham Sr.'s pension application states he was born in 1760, and that his father(George) moved to the county of Bute in North Carolina (formed from Granville Co. in 1764). This is a new bit of information I had never seen before.
Have seen this before?
