According to Brown's Yarmouth Nova Scotia Genealogies John W Durkee was born 8/12/1866 and Annie Shaw was born in 1868. He doesn't have any information on their family but he does trace the Durkees back to 1762 in Yarmouth, They had origionally settled in Ipswich, MA in 1661. The Shaws came to NS in the mid 18th century. Brown tenetatively traces the family to John Shaw who settled in Plymouth, MA before 1627. Email me at billryan42@verizon.net for a reference.
