Henderson B. Durnell

Hi...
I hope someone can help me. I am searching for the family of my gg-grandfather Henderson B. Durnell (Durnil). The following is some of what I know about him...
He was born August 23, 1816 in Virginia and died April 5, 1862 in Carroll Co., Mo. He died from pneumonia that was contracted while serving in the Civil War.
He was married (1) to Margaret Neal in 1836 in Harlan Co.,Kentucky.
Henderson B. Durnell was listed on the 1840 Virginia Census and was living in Boone Co., Mo. during the 1850 Census. His occupation was a Blacksmith. In 1850 he had the following children...
Wm. P. age 13,
Eli N. age 7,
James H. age 5,
Benjamin F. age 4, and
Jerome H. age 9.
There was no wife listed.
He married (2) Jacintha (Cynthia) Calvert Hawkins (daughter of William and Elizabeth Fine Calvert)on 10-10-1850 in Rochport, Boone Co., Mo.
The 1850 census has his and Wm Patrick's birthplace as Virginia.
There was a Wm. Durnell age 38, also a Blacksmith on the 1850 Boone Co., Mo. Census. William was listed with his
wife Elizabeth age 30 and the following
children....
James age 10,
Eli M. age 4,
Joseph.

The 1850 Census also listed an Eli M. age 24, who was a Blacksmith, and a Logan Durnell age 14.
I THINK THAT THESE WERE HENDERSON B. DURNIL'S RELATIVES.
William Durnell age 38
Eli M. age 24
and Logan age 14
Henderson was age 36 at the time of the 1850 Census.

Common names for the children were....
James, Eli, Joseph, ( William's children) James A. (Eli's child)

William Patrick, Eli N., James H. Benjamin F. and Jerome H. (Henderson's children)
.
Henderson's second family had children by the names of
John Mack, Mary Elizabeth, Susan Amanda, and Molly.

I hope that some of this information will ring a bell with someone and give me some clues or information that would be helpful.
Any help would be appreciated.

Betty Durnil Dison
