DURNEY/BRYAN or BRIEN:
I am trying to find John Durney that was married to Mary Bryan/Brien. (shown both ways on children's birth certs) They had Catherine, James, Johanna/Joannah (my great grandmother), William, Mary and John. Catherine was b. in Ireland and so was John, the rest were born in Wales, Johanna married a Capt. McCormick (info on him would be appreciated, this is all I know)in Liverpool, he was in the Navy and died at sea, shortly thereafter their little boy died, she then came to NY to live with her brother James, who married Anne Lyons.

I have reason to believe the Durney's were in Clare Co and Killarney. Mary Bryan's parents may have been Denis Brien and Mary Donoghue. Mary was born abt.3-1833, married John Durney bef. 1854 in Ireland. John Durney b. abt. 1834
Clare Co., Ireland per a census record in Wales abt. 1868.

Anastasia and Augustine Durney were brother and sister or Aunt and nephew to John, and the family home is still in
Ireland 15 Congress New Road, Callan, Co. Killkenny, Ireland.

1-24-1879 is when John died in Wales, he was a Copper Miner, Mary died after 1881 probably in Wales or Liverpool. Catherine Durney their oldest daughter that I know of was b. abt. 1854 Ireland, then they had John, James (married Anne Lyons in NY 1856), William, Mary and Joannah/Johanna between 1854-1865. Catherine
married William Hannaghan in Swansea, Wales where they lived they had daughter Mary abt 1875, and Joannah married Capt. McCormick who was in the Royal Navy, he died at sea and shortly after that their infant son died, her
brother James was in America by then and asked her to come over and start a new life. She did and 2-24-1892 she married William Stewart Smith in Pennsylvania. They eventually moved to Atascadero, California with all
their children, Agnes, William, James, Daniel, Regina, Madalene Wilfreda and Marie, Walter died at age 1 yr. in PA..

Also I need info on Michael Paul Durney 1754-1827 he was a Baker in Ireland, and Jean Paulus Durney 1715-1792.

Thanks, Linda ll13@intercomm.com
