Hi there David Durney;
I just found this website today, have left a message that is quite general. I understand that my paternal grandfather's family temporarily emigrated to America amny years ago, but were one of the few families who did not settle, and returned to Ireland. At least one child of the family was born in a place called Pleasantville in New York. I am a bit vague on detail, as our own family records are poor; but my younger brother has a great interest in geneaology, and could supply me with details that are more accurate. I'm sure we are not related, but having said that, my late father corresponded with a lady in Australia who was a distant relation. He had simply replied to a letter in a newspaper!
Have a good day!
