My information is confusing surrounding a death certificate of Helen Roach age 25. Helen DURNEY ROACH died of Tuberculosis (TB)on March 5, 1917. She is buried in Calvary cemeterary in Queens NY Helen's last known address 364 9th ave (near Madison Square Garden) Manhattan New York City. Helen died at Bellview Hospital she was married and her occupation is listed as housework. Parents Thomas DURNEY & Bridget FLETCHER both born Ireland undertaker Fred Simmons 428 West 34th Street. My initial research showed her husband known as Dennis J Roach found the couple listed as Dennis & Mary leaving & once visiting Mitchelstown Cork Ireland with son Edward T b June 1891. However her death certificate lists her husband as EDWARD. The 1920 census wasnt making sense because Mary's age changed still listing the couple as Dennis & Mary. Now we know the Mary's changed (2nd wife?). This Mary or Helen DURNING ROACH died in 1917. The Roach or Roche name thing has driven me crazy but now this. Anyone searching DURNING in County Cork Ire possibly MITCHELSTOWN or Glanworth area. The son Edward T b US married Bridget Roche of Dromleigh Mitchelstown Ballindangon County CORK in 1921 in New York at St John the Baptist 210 West 31st Street Manhattan. Suggestions appreciated.
