My gr gr grandfather John Durney, was from Ireland. Lived in Baltimore, MD., then moved on to Kentucky. He was a farmer, and also made containers for the shipping industry. He and his family, wife Mary "Polly" Bloss lived near the Big Sandy River. His daughter Nancy Margaret Durney married Isaac Marion Bolt. They are my gr grandparents. John Durney was born about 1791, and died 1852. He is buried in what used to be called the Durney Cemetery at Durney, Kentucky. The cemetery is behind a church on Rt. 23 just south of Buchanan, Ky. The cemetery is now called the Catalpa Cemetery as well as the area. Would love to know his ancestry.
