My father was Owen Durnin b. 1901
Grandfather was Owen Durnin b. 1865
G grandfather was Peter Durnin b. abt 1835

All born in Co. Louth

I think the two names - Durning & Durnin are the same. The Gaelic name is O'Doirnin, meaning 'small fist' !!

Tom Durnin
