I am a descendant of John and Harriet Durst through their son, Charles Placido Bruno Durst. I would love to get a copy of the article and will be more than happy to forward to you the cost of copying and mailing. Are you a Durst descendant? If so, through what line?

I have been researching this family for about the last two years and find it fascinating. My husband, my parents and I recently visited the Durst family cemetery in Leona, Texas. We met the very nice 80+ year old man who is taking care of the ground maintenance of the cemetery. He is a widower who was married to a Durst descendant and he still lives on part of the original 2,000 acres owned by John and Harriet. We were able to tour some of the Durst land and it is just beautiful. He has set up an account at a local bank taking donations to restore the tombstones. They are in disrepair, some of them have broken and are no longer upright.

Please contact me regarding the Durst article, as I am very interested in receiving a copy. Thank you.
