The year "1739" as provided in my posting of 28th September 2000 was in error....the year should have been 1737.
The particulars are these:
On the 19th day 11th month 1737, as recorded in Minute Book "K", a land dispute (in New Castle Co.) is resolved between John VANCE and Garrett DUSHANE as recorded by the Pennsylvania Board of Property. The tract in question was noted as being bounded by the following named tracts: "Holt", "Roll's Sepulchre", and "Lackford's Hall".
The source for this reference comes from pp. 96-96, "Pennsylvania Archives: Minutes of the Board of Property and Other References to Lands in Pennsylvania, Third Series, Volume One", edited by William Henry Egle, M.D., published in 1894 by Clarence M. Busch, State Printer, Harrisburg, PA.
