Information received from Ms. Marjorie Queen in 1980. She received it in 1955 from Mrs. Stella Strausbaugh.
In the undated WILL of Rachel ( ) (Dushane) Cazier, in Newcastle County, DE
Will Book L 1 146, Probated 23 March 1779 we read:
"Being sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory" she disposes of her worldly Estate as follows: To son Andrew Dushane L 150,
To Daughter Hester Hattry L 150,
To Daughter Rachel McCantire L 150,
To Daughter Lydia Eliason L 50, and L150 to be paid to her children when they arrive of age to receive it and meanwhile the interest to go to their support.
To Daughter Susannah Cazier L 150.
I give and bequeath the residue and remainder of my Estate to Joseph Hattry's children, namely James, Andrew, Thomas, Lydia, and Rachel to be equally divided among them and to be paid as they arrive of age to receive it and the interest to go yearly to their support."
