Hi Mike,
My great grandfather's name was Antone Schoneveld. He was born 9-04-1880. He married Trientje Drieson. She was born 12-13-1879. They came over to the United States in 1912 or 1913 along with their two children. (Later another child was born.) My grand-father, Evert John Schoneveld, was born 8-03-1912 in a place in Germany. I only know that the translation of it is balck ditch. His father Antone was an orchestra leader and watchmaker. Antone was possibly an officer in the Dutch army. My great uncle John Schoneveld did research on our family but he has passed away and it has been diffucult finding what he had. My father told me that we do have relatives in Holland and during the 1960's one of them was a professor at a university in Amsterdam. By the way Sioux County is in Northern Iowa, a state in the United States. I hope some of this helps.
Kathrine
