Hi,

Does anyone know anything about the Salisbury, CT Dutcher branch? Roelof Dutcher (d. 1737) moved there before 1720 from NY. His son was Ruluff Dutcher, b. Oct. 1, 1714 in NY, had son Christopher July 7, 1757, I think he moved to St. Albans, VT. According to less than reliable internet accounts, he died in 1814 or 1818. Ruluff may have died in VT on Feb. 8, 1805, but this is from a IGI record at familysearch, no source mentioned. Does anyone have any reliable accounts of this branch?

Also I have seen a few places on the net a marriage record of Roeloff & wife Jannetje Bressie that claims they were married in Kingston, NY on Nov. 17, 1700, which is not necessarily true. I learned from an old New York vital records book that is the date of the marriage bann, the wedding probably took place a few days later.
