Lyn, I have found on one of the genforum sites info that says that Richard and Maducia {Medusa) were in fact Richard's parents. Maducia Hayes was b. Horicon, NY c. 1845. Her parents were Susan or Susannah (Hill) Hayes. Susan Hayes was dau. of Amasa and Malinda(----)Hill. Jared Hayes was son of Nathan Jr. and Martha (Mills) Hayes of S. Horicon. Nathan Jr. was son of Nathan and Elizabeth (----) Hayes of Horicon. Nathan Sr. was a Revolutionary War soldier from Greenbush NY. My mother has told me that my niece has traced the Dutcher family back to the 16th century. I have tried to contact her to get this info but have been unsuccesful so far.
