Thank you for your reply. My children descend from Gideon Dutcher through their mother. So far as I know, I am not related by blood. I recently discovered the Dutcher/Ducher family in the 1790 census of Pawling in Dutchess County, New York. Gideon Dutcher, spelled Ducher, was listed along with some of my Duel/Deuel ancestors. The Vredenburgh surname, also in the Dutcher line, was listed in this census: Van Vredenburgh,William, 2-2-2-0-0. David Ducher of this census might be Gideon's father,if David lived so long. I am not sure whether Gideon is father or son Gideon, but the Dutcher family is certainly evident at (http://www.rootsweb.com/~nydutche/1790/1790pawling.htm. If you can sort out the Dutchers of this census, I would be glad to add your data to my records. I cannot quite focus this data. Sincerely, J. Mitchell Notify Administrator about this message?
