Leo Dutcher in Hillsdale, Michigan 1930

Seeking descendants or others with knowledge of the Leo Dutcher family of Hillsdale, Hillsdale Co., MI in 1930.

At the time of the census, Mr. Dutcher was 45 years old and his listed profession was undertaker. Also found in the household on N. Howell Street are his wife, Clare or Clara and their daughter Mary Jane. Additionally found are his sister-in-law, Marie Schaffer and his niece, Florence J. Schaffer.

Presumably, Marie Schaffer is Mrs. Clare/Clara Dutcher's sister and Florence J. is Marie's daughter.

I think that Marie's and Clare/Clara's maiden names were Kessler, but I am hoping that someone there can confirm this for me and give me some kind of clue as to the sisters' ancestry as it relates to my own Kessler lineage.

I also suspect that Leo's profession was a tie-in to one Frank and Elsie/Elise Kessler who breifly owned a funeral home in Hillsdale County.
