Thank you for your response,I have recieved a copy of a marriage certificate from Queensland archives. This tells me that William Henry Duthie and his wife Jessie Mayto Cartochy (maiden name) were Biscuit Bakers and the parents of Eliza Jane Dickson Duthie who married William George Carson North in Cunnamulla in Queensland in 1885. The marriage certificate states that she was 21years at the time and she was born in Forfar Scotland. It gives no indication if she came to Australia alone or with her parents. At this stage we do not know if she was the only child of theirs or there were others.
