Alex,
You appear to be researching the same Duthie line, my gg g/father was also Archibald Duthie m to Mary Warden their son Alexander m Margaret Norrie and they had a son Hercules b 17th Jan 1849 in Craig by Montrose. Hercules moved to Glasgow and later to West Hartlepool and had a son also called Hercules my g/father.
Archibald Duthie and Mary Warden are buried in St Cyrus Nether Kirkyard and further information is held in the Montrose Library.
Perhaps we could exchange further info if this is of any use.
Also have you tried the Records Office in Edinburgh?
Regards,
Paul Funnell
