Hello Alex

We seem to be going around in circles - you had down as your last e-mail that your William Duthie 'm' Isabella Burn 24/12/1842 at Craig - well I have the same couple as my ancestor's but I have my William being born 2/4/1819 in County Angus and his parents as James Duthie and Isabel Sturrock and they married 5/3/1814 in Angus.
Now you have your William 'c' 22/7/1815 at Saint Cyrus and his parents as Archibald Duthie and Mary Walden 'm' 26/11/1814 - so I have to say one of us is wrong but which one and how do we find out exactly.
I have followed my line through with birth and marriage certificates which has led me to William and Isabella Burn all I know is that all my lot come from County Angus and in the general area of Forfar, Craig etc. I have just ordered a parish film from LDS to have a look at the marriage of William and Isabella and hopefully it might say which county or parish they come from, but it takes a couple of weeks to get here.
I did some checking on your Robert and could not find his parents but no doubt you look in the same resources that I do.
My James parents were James Duthie and Christian Fairley and I only have come up with one child, James 'b' 11/6/1793.
If I come up with any additional info. I will post it for you.

All the best
