John Duthie, B0rn 1834 in Kincardinshire Scotland Paris of Garvock near La wrencekirk. Youngest child of William Duthie II and Mary Christianson joined the British Navy about 185 - 44th Co Royal Marines. Received Medal for service in the Crimean War from Queen Victoria, Came to America in 1857 or 1858. Farmer in Rock Co. Wis. 1861-1883 Farmer in Hand Co. So Dakota 1883-1903. He was my great -grandfather. Have geneology completed thru 1941.
