I flew many times with a Flying Officer John Duthy RAF from RAF Alipore, Calcutta in April 1944 and later at RAF Willingdon, New Delhi. He had joined the RAF in India at the outbreak of war, having been a tea taster in Calcutta.

John was a member of the Calcutta Light Horse Club and the Saturday Club. We had many social evenings together. I did not see him again after the war and, therefore, cannot provide any further information.
