Hi Alexander,

I am trying to research my grandmother's ancestry, whose name was Violet Duthie and her mother's name was Wood. She grew up in Aberdeen,Scotland. Her father was a sea captain there. She lived at Duthie Villa for a period of time in her early childhood. Then her and her family (three sisters, fatherand mom) came here to America.
I remember her telling me there were Lords and Ladies in her family history. You might try to research Duthie Villa in Aberdeen Scotland. This place is written up in a book on haunted places in Scotland, but do not know the title. One of the reasons the family left the villa. Please let me know anything you find on Duthie. I am going to try to ask clans here at the Scottish festivial where else to look. I do know that Duthie is under the Ross clan.

God Bless you,
Kathleen
