I wonder about the parents, birthdate, and birthplace of the earliest Duthie ancestor you have identified in Scotland. My earliest known Duthie ancestor was David Duthie, born c1772 probably in Kincardine, died after 1841. He married Christian Scott in 1792 in Benholm, Kincardine. As farm laborers, they moved frequently and lived in many parishes in Kincardine and Angus, including Benholm, Garvock, Marykirk, and Stracathro. Their known children included Margaret, James, and John.
