Benholm and Fullerton marriage
Posted by: Wallace Fullerton (ID *****4794) Date: January 17, 2010 at 08:43:01

I've scanned the many messages in this forum and see references to the Duthie name in many of the parishes of northeast Angus and southeast Kincardine. Unfortunately I haven't spotted any that directly address my interest as I trace my collateral lines.

I am looking for information on a John Duthie who married Annabella Bisset Fullerton about 1 Dec 1854 - the marriage was recorded in Benholm according to the IGI. Anna appears to be the same who was born 1830, the daughter of Robert Fullerton in Lawrencekirk, and descended from the tenants of Knox of Benholm and, earlier, Mains of Dun. The IGI also shows the birth of a son, John, in Benholm on 19 Jan 1858. I have no additional information on the family but hope it may be familiar to someone more knowledgeable.
