Hi Robyn
I didn't answer your question with regards to my George Duthie Junior.
When I was researching George Senior I contacted a site manager at Tribal Pages who gave me all the information with regards to his D.O.B, death and where he was married also confirming his marriage to Isabella McDonald. She also gave the names of his children as John, George, Robert, Mary Isabella,Roseann, Christina Smith, and Jessie. All of these have been born in Inverness/ Kilmallie .I have confirmed Christina as she was the informant of her mothers death and obviously Jessie who married my Great Grandfather. However she did say that George Junior had emigrated to Australia married there I believe a Nicholson had a family, also that he had died there.I dismissed this as I believed Isabella to be Circa 1823 so this 1835 date would not be possible. However if the age on her death certificate was incorrect it would.
All of the other information given was correct however. From the information given about James Duthie Wright/ Christian Smith it would appear that the 1841 Census showing George as 6 years would be her Grandson and the other 2 children her own.Incidently he dropped the Wright part of his name after their third child.
I hope this has been a little more helpful.
Joan
