i am a duthie from greenock, scotland. however my grandfather harry bruce duthie was from aberdeen. according to my grandfather the duthies were a family originating from the mac phie clan in aberdeenshire sometime in the 17th century. my grandfather seems to think that the duthies were outlaws and were shunned by the mac phies, however i am unsure of this information.
