Bonnie and Dennis:

I think I have communicated with both of you before. I am descended from Elizabeth Duty and Wyatt Grant. The computer where I once did my genealogy has crashed and I have yet to recover the information from the hard drive. I did not know the information about Wyatt Grant and the War of 1812 - thanks Bonnie! Off the top of my head, I can remember that one of my aunts once told me that Alice Grant from Marion County, IL once told me that Wyatt Grant was descended from Jesse Grant from North Carolina. I never have been able to confirm this - but in searching around I did find a Jesse in North Carolina. I know that the Duty lineage has been up in the air for a while - because I also got stuck on this couple, and I still check the Duty forum every now and then to see if anyone has figured it out. I wish you the best, when I get my old data recovered I might have more to add to the story.

Debbie Dorris
