Looking for any connections to Dwane
Posted by: Kerri Date: July 08, 2000 at 18:01:20

I am researching my family name "Dwane." My dad is from Ireland and emigrated in 1950. Most of his family is still there, mostly the Dublin area. Other names in connection with Dwane are Coll, Fitzgerald, O'Connell. If there is anyone doing similar research, please respond. I am currently stuck at my great-grandfather, Thomas Dwane. I think he may have been born in Tankardstown before the mid-1800's. I know his son, David owned a farm in Clogher, County Limerick or Tipperary. David's parents are Thomas and Kathleen(Fitzgerald). His wife, Jane Lelia was an O'Connell. Her parents are James and Catherine(Powers). They are buried in Grange cemetery, County Limerick. They once owned a house in Grange, which is now a B&B called Grange House. Is there anyone with any of these connections?
