Hi Tom,
My Grandfather was John Dwane
from Co Cork Ireland and I think
he and his father were overseers
of the Post Office.

John came to Australia and met my
Grandmother Matilda Thomas in Melbourne
they settled in Sydney he was a Baker
and had his own business in Coogee.

My G/father had 3 or 4 brothers and 2
sisters who became nuns to my knowledge
they are both buried in the grounds of
a catholic church in Ireland.

I have a cousin John Stewart who i'm trying
to contact as he has more information.
So maybe your Dwane,s are related to mine
