Dad has just forwarded your message from ancestors.com and asked me to contact you to say that we are definitely kin. I've emailed him a copy of your posts on this forum. Dad knows more about the Dwanes in NZ than me, so I'll make sure he emails you. He may have Philip's email or know how he is.

I remember Dad showing me a beautiful studio photo of the Dwanes that would probably have been from the 1890s. Perhaps if I scan the photo you can give me the names of the children? We guessed that the one with large, distinctive ears was my great-grandfather.

It is fantastic that your mother has found her cousins in Australia!
