Parents of Elizabeth Coleman unknown, she was married to Calahan 6 August 1826 in Guernsey County, Ohio.She died 25 July 1845 in Cedar Co, Iowa.Buried with husband in Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, Cedar County Iowa, Lot 96

Local history in Cedar Co, Iowa states Calahan born in Maryland, then moved to Washington Co, Pa around 1805. Listed in his fathers will.Calahan and his family moved to Rock Island, Ill around 1838, then to Cedar Co, Iowa in 1840.He spent his remaining life in Cedar Co.Listedin Oxford Twp 1830, Guernsey Co, Ohio.Listed in Center Twp, 1840-1870,Cedar Co. Iowa.Had several hundred acres Sec 3, Twp 80, Rg 2, Ceder Co. Also land in Belmont Co, Ohio in 1837.
History of Cedar Co 1878,Callahan Dwiggins settled on the northwest qt of sec 34, twp 81, range 3, in 1836 now owned and occupied by his son James.This date is two years prior to the above date from another Ceder Co history.He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church in (Tipton?)

In 1860 census (Dwiggins) Calahan, Sarah and children are in Center Twp, Cedar Co.William J16 and Emily 14 probably children of Sarah's first marriage are listed with the family.The only children of Calahan's first marrage still home are James 33 farmer and Wiliam 18 farmer.
1870 census ,Calahan (Dwiggans) and Sarah are still in Center Twp. Also listed is a Wiliam Dwiggans 8 listed in 1880 as a grandchild. born in Iowa.
1880census, Calahan had died and Sarah and two grandson's William 18 and Frank18 ,are living with her.William may have been the son of James Dwigans, son of Calahan.Parents ofFrankDwigans is unknown.Sarah died 1895 and is buried with Calahan in the Masonic Cemetery, Center Twp, Cedar Co, Iowa
