Sherri,
You may or may not be aware of her, but there was another member of the Webster County, Kentucky, Dye family in Dunklin County, Missouri. She was Margaret Elizabeth (Dye) Stallions.
Searching for information about Edward Stallions, I found his Missouri Standard Certificate of Death among those digitized in the Missouri State Archives' Death Certificate Database (http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/) for 1910-1955. Among the details it noted were the following:

Burial: 11 February 1950, Stanfield Cemetery, Near Clarkton, Missouri
Funeral Director: Lloyd Russell, Liggett, Arkansas
Informant: Eunice Stallions, Clarkton

A list of burials at the Stanfield Cemetery includes:
STALLIONS Eunice (24 March 1888-12 February 1983)
STALLIONS Edward (1888-1950)
STALLIONS Ronnie J. (1943-1946)
It may be coincidence, but there also are 30 members of the Dye family buried in the Stanfield Cemetery.
A list of burials at the Pine City Cemetery, Holcomb, Dunklin County, Missouri, includes:
STALLIONS James (1857-1941), Husband of Margaret Elizabeth Stallions
STALLIONS Margaret Elizabeth (20 March 1861-27 January 1918), Wife of James Stallions[Margaret Elizabeth (Dye) Stallions]
STALLIONS W.S. (19 May 1924-11 March 1925)
A James Stallions is reported marrying Jane Dye in Webster County, Kentucky, on 8 January 1884.
A James Stallions is reported marrying Margaret Dye in Webster County, Kentucky, on 25 November 1886.
In a quick look at the 1880 census, I found at least 17 households (there probably were more) in Webster County, Kentucky, either headed by members of the Dye or "Stallens" families, or having at least one Dye or Stallens resident, including this one in Claysville District:
PULLAM David Head Married Male White 50 KY Farmer NC NC
PULLAM Sarah Wife Married Female White 55 KY Housekeeper NC NC
STALLENS James Stepson Single Male White 18 KY Works on Farm KY KY
I believe Sarah Pullam was Sarah (Welch) Stallions Welch. She was the widow of James Stallions, Sr.
A David Pullem is reported to have married Sarah Stallions at her residence in Webster County on 4 September 1866. It was said to be a second marriage for both. David Pullem was listed as Principal; James Pullem as Surety. The marriage license was issued on 2 September 1866.
I searched for a Margaret Dye in Webster County in 1880. I found a "Marget" Dye in this household:
DILLS Abner Head Married Male White 37 KY Farmer KY KY
DILLS Josa Wife Married Female White 27 KY Housekeeper KY KY
DILLS James Son Single Male White 9 KY KY KY
DILLS William Son Single Male White 7 KY KY KY
DILLS Clemintin Daughter Single Female White 3 KY KY KY
DYE Marget Niece Single Female White 19 KY KY KY
While her age is right (born about 1861), I don't know if she was the future Margaret Elizabeth (Dye) Stallions or who her parents were.
This was the senior James Stallions' household in Webster County in 1860:
765/760
STALLIONS James 32 Male TN Farming
STALLIONS Sarah 35 Female KY Housekeeper
STALLIONS John 9 Male KY
STALLIONS Joseph 4 Male KY
STALLIONS Nancy 2 Female KY
STALLIONS Aggie 1/12 Female KY
STALLIONS Robert 1/12 Male KY
Hope this provides some clues.
