Dyess Family in Bell County, Texas

This is just to offer info to anyone looking for Dyess Family in Bell Co, TX. There is a Dyess Family cemetery and a Dyess Grove Baptist Church cemetery in east Bell Co in an area known as Stringtown. Lots of Dyess' and descendants buried there. Oldest is John Jefferson Dyess, born 1832, his wife Martha Jane Warren Dyess, born 1830, born in MS and came to TX after the Civil War. Their son James Jefferson Dyess, born 1853, had at least 15 children. He was born in Newton Co, MS on March 30, 1853. I am not a part of the Dyess family except by shoestring (my grandmother's sister was married to one of James J.'s sons), but am willing to send info I have on this branch of the family.
