Betty, I know I answered you in a reply to the email you sent me. I wanted to post here in the event I can also find information on the ancestors of William (Bill) Greer. We have already established that we are distant cousins throught the Dyess line. I am wondering if your Greer line joins up with my husbands. If it did, that would also make you a distant cousin of my husband. It would ALSO connect me and my husband in some way. My husband's Greer line goes back to James Greer, b. about 1627 in Scotland, d. about 1688 in Baltimore County, Maryland. James also had a brother named Henry who, instead of coming to America, went to Ireland. Many Greers in America attribute their Irish heritage to Henry. Hopefully someone may help us both get a connection here. I am going to post part of this under a different subject in hopes of getting help.

Your cousin,
Toni Dyess Greer
