Mary Johnson was born May 13, 1853 in FL.
On May 22, 1874 she married George Allen Pendarvis in Levy Co., FL. George was the son of a James Pendarvis who had moved around 1856 from Colleton Co., SC to Alachua Co., FL. George died in June of 1882. Mrs. Mary Pendarvis then married William Henry Dyess on Jan 6, 1887 in Levy Co. Dyess died May 10, 1918. Most of this was taken from her Widow's Pension Claim. On August 13, 1921 Mary applied for a pension based on her 1st husband's CSA service. This pension was granted to her.
