Ransom S. Dyus Talladega Co., Alabama, 1857
Posted by: Dan Conner (ID *****7625) Date: December 09, 2003 at 14:02:32

I am seeking information on RANSOM S. DYUS who married NANCY YARBROUGH in Talladega Co., Alabama on 15 November, 1857. On the marriage record his surname is spelled "Dyus". I have been unable to locate them in the 1860 census. I did locate a RENSOM DYUS in Mobile Co., Alabama in the 1860 Alabama census but his wife`s name was Martha (possibly a second wife).

A STILES R. DYAS enlisted in Co.D, 21st Alabama Infantry on 13 Oct., 1861 in Mobile Co., Alabama.

In the 1880 Alabama census for Mobile Co., is a STILES DYESS with wife MARTHA, son JOHN (age 13), son HENRY age 18, and stepson Thomas Foster (age 24).

Does anyone have ANY info on these people?

Thanks,
Dan Conner
