Fred Dyess and Emma Fleming were in Sabine Parish, Louisiana before the 1920 census.Their childeren were Virgil F. age 8, David R.(Robert) age 7, Annie M. age 5, Fannie B. age 3 9/12, and Verna R. (Ruth) age 9/12.The census said all were born in MS. On the 1930 census(Sabine Parish) it listed Virgil 18, Robert D. 17, Fannie B. 13, Verna R.11, and Cora E. 10. This 1930 census said the last two were born in Louisiana. The 1920 census leads you to believe that they came to Sabine Parish just a few months before the census. However, if Verna R. was born in Louisiana then they could have come over between 1917 and 1919. I can't find them in the 1910 or 1900 census.

I found a little information on Emma's parents on the site of the Latter Day Saints. David Robert Fleming was her father.

I know Virgil's line. He married my mother's sister.
