I'm sorry, I don't have a Jake Dyess nor any Maddens in any of my research. That's not to say there aren't any; I just have not run across them. What census year did you find him? That will help me to investigate and see if he may be one I've overlooked. Sometimes I don't recognize a name so I don't follow that line until I run across a reference in some other area.
