Hi Pat,In case i never get to join you i will tell you why.I am legally Blind and i have Enphyzema and COPD and all kinds of Allergys I am in the Hospital more than i am out of it.I am in the care of Hospice now.
My information on the Dyes came to me from my Grandfather and Great Grandfather,We are in the Martin Dye Line ,They are called English Dyes. According to my Grandparents we are French . The Dye Family lived in Paris France 1572 when the St Bartholomew Massacre happened. They were Members of the French Protestant Church They were called French Hugunots I believe there was more Dyes than just my line and i believe that when they got to another country The name was changed to the spelling of that country My Grandfather said they were allowed to worship in England. And they chose to go to Old Rappanock Co Va because rhere was a Hugunot settlement there.I believe that is why we have so many different names Dye,Dyess,Duyt, Dyer,Dey,Die,Day, Just to name afew.I believe that at one time we may have been one large family. We have no Family Crest or Coat of Arms I see a fake one on the internet .Feel free to use this information in any way that you want to. Carol
