John Jackson Dyess (1833-1909) and John Jefferson Dyess (1832-1882) were first cousins and both lived in Bell Co., TX in their latter years. They are grandsons of Christopher Dyess of Clarke Co., MS. John Jackon was the son of Joshua Dyess and John Jefferson was the son of Joshua's brother, John.
