This is what I have for him as of today.
William T. Dyke, son of William Dyke and Elizabeth McNew, was born arounf 1825 in Claiborne Co, TN. He is found in the 1850 Campbell Co, TN Census in the household of Wiley Graham who was a Blacksmith, William is listed as being 18 years old, born in TN and a farmer. He served in Co E, Unit 2, Tenn Inf, as a Private, in the Union Army. His last name was spelled Dike. Additional notes submitted by Tom Dykes, William Dike, 2nd Tn, Infantry Regiment, Co. E, Federal, Enlisted June 10, 1863, honorably discharged July or August 3, 1865. Private. Was in the battle of Rogersville, Nov. 6, 1863. Was one of the 31% of the 2nd Tn Inf that was not captured that day. He married Judith Ann Smith, daughter of Franklin Smith and Susannah Viney McHenry, on November 09, 1851, in Campbell Co, TN. To this Union was given 7 children. William died before 1812. He is buried in the Dykes Cemetery, located about a fourth of a mile on the road to the left of the Pine Grove Independent Baptist Church on Flat Hollow Rd.

Judith Ann Smith,daughter of Franklin 'Frank' Moss Smith and Susannah Viney McHenry, was born March 1831 in the Powell Valley, Claiborne Co, TN. She married William T. Dyke, son of William Dyke and Elizabeth McNew, on November 09, 1851, in Campbell Co, TN. To this Union was given 7 children. Judith Ann died May 17, 1912, Claiborne Co, TN. She is buried in the Dykes Cemetery, located about a fourth of a mile on the road to the left of the Pine Grove independent Baptist Church on Flat Hollow Rd.
Pictures of Headstone is available. There is no dates listed on Headstone. She was a widow when she died still living near Well Springs. She died from Dropsy.
