Hi again, I was just thinking as I re-read your query that there was a David Dyke in Massac co, Il who married a Cintha (Cynthia) Riggs, 1853. David Dyke was b. 1817, Tn. and was married to a Catherine where he shows up on an 1850 census. Catherine b. 1810, not sure where, daughter Eliz. b. 1833, Il married William C. Norman 1851. A Polly Dyke Lockett b. 1811 was with him, I am sure was his sister and I believe David and Polly were children of Isham Dyke and Prudence Choat or Jane Tucker of Tenn. There was a Choat family nearby in 1840. Polly had 3 children living with her. David's wife Catherine must have died or left by 1853. Aaron Dyke of Sangamon co, Il was married more than once and 2 of his daughters married to Chelf and Eckhardt men. The surname Aston or Austin is connected as well as Fields. Janice
