Nathan first appears in the extant records as a tithable in 1770 (as Dick) in Loudon County Virginia. The list includes several other men with the surname Dyke or a variant of it. A table of their appearances is on page 3
I have found nothing in it to tell us what the relationships were among George, Adam, Nathan, and Henry, One likely possibility is that George was the father to some or all of the others, who were listed as tithables upon reaching the age of 21.

George and Nathan Dyke also appear in the 1782 personal property tax list of Loudoun County Virginia, the first year in which such taxes were assessed. the first mention of George Dyke in what is now Loudoun County Virginia, appears to be the record of the assignment to him of lease for 150 acres by Thomas Lamb in 1766.

The division of the estate of Nathan Dyke in which the following are named, Hester Dyke widow, Rebecca Dyke Jones, heirs of George Dyke, Hester Dyke Nethers, Sally Dyke Nash, heirs of David Dyke, and devsees of Silas Jenkins Dyke.

Note: tax records indicate that Nathan Dyke resided in Culpeper County Virginia from 1782-1804. Tax
